Open source software that meets a need is going to succeed. Take OpenOffice.org for example. The community released version 3 just a month ago. Since then, there have been ten million downloads from the main site. That does not count downloads through Linux distribution updates or mirror sites or peer sharing (Bit Torrent, etc.).

If you were one of the ten million, you are a successful open source user. Become an advocate, too. Tell everyone you know to connect to download open source tools that work. Tell them to visit here, too, while you are at it.

If you have not tried OpenOffice, go to the download page and get started.
